There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free, there is no longer male and female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28
We continue our daily devotions with prayers for specific groups of people. Today I would like to encourage us to pray for people who are considered “vulnerable”. According to the CDC people considered “vulnerable” include older adults and people of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions.
In the past two weeks I have heard people say things like, “Only the vulnerable are at risk.” I have been inspired and moved by Facebook posts with pictures of loved ones who are considered at risk saying, “Your only is my everything.”
I want to remind us today that in faith, there are no “only” people. Everyone matters! Everyone is loved! Everyone is valued! I want to encourage everyone to not downplay the significance of COVID 19 as “only” the vulnerable are at risk. When one of us is at risk, all of us are at risk. For all of us are one in Christ Jesus!
